Which Paper Type Should I Choose?

brochure - high heel creative

You only get one chance to make a first impression and when you’re looking to promote your business it’s important¬†to¬†ensure that your branding feels as good as it looks!

Branding is incredibly important but it’s never going to give you an edge over your competitors if an amazing looking leaflet or business card has a flimsy or cheap feel.

Take the time to give consideration as to which parts of your marketing are worth spending a little more on. Give thought to the message you’re trying to get across to your potential customers and think about how you want that message to be presented.

You may find it worthwhile spending a little more on a luxurious business card that will make an impression, however, if you’re doing a large-scale door-to-door leaflet drop it may not pay dividends to go for a heavier stock paper when a lighter weight option will do the job perfectly well.

Here’s our guide to which type of paper conveys what message;

  • Silk or Matt for a classy finish
  • Gloss for images or visual print
  • Uncoated if it will need to be written on
  • Heavier paper weights for a strong message
  • Lamination for a durable print
